No Longer Rough

I finished the first editing pass on my current manuscript a couple days ago, which means it’s no longer in a ‘rough’ state. A lot of people I’ve seen who’ve finished manuscripts often have a laundry list of things they learned through the process, and though I’ve done the same, I feel there’s only one worth mentioning: by the time I got through 150k+ words, the quality of my writing at the end of the manuscript had tilted toward my liking; I improved enough that by the end, I noticed a marked difference in the quality of my voice, and that is everything. No greater lesson could I have learned.

Meant to make a post when I finished drafting the rough on the 31st, but time got away from me, as it’s wont to do.
